Almost a year ago I was talking to professional strongman Dennis Rogers and he presented me with an opportunity.
His friend and one of the world’s strongest men, Bud Jeffries was looking for someone to take over his business.
If you’ve been in the iron game for awhile its likely you’ve heard of Bud and www.Strongerman.com.
Perhaps you’ve been influenced by his work with Twisted Conditioning or How to Squat 900 lbs (among much else).
I know I have.
Due to some issues with the business he wanted to step back, have someone else take over and allow him just to write and train.
I took that job. Now this has been a secret project that virtually know one knows about. In fact, you are one of the first!
But all that work has finally come to fruition. The NEW Strongerman.com is live.
Go check out the site. There’s a bunch of great articles up. You can get his best selling ebooks right now.
But that’s just the start. Go now to find a few of the exciting projects we have in the works.
And be sure to sign up with your email on the site. Not only will you receive tons of incredible strength training and endurance building tips but we’ll give you a bonus to get started with.
Just last week I interviewed Bud to talk about what he’s been doing lately in his training. We’re talking about shedding 100 lbs and counting. Doing thousands of kettlebell swings in a single workout. Training MMA fighters and much more.
You get the whole hour long interview just by signing up on the site.
I hope my enthusiasm comes across because this is something that you should be excited about. Just talking to Bud recently has increased the intensity of my own workouts. It can do the same for you.

I’m was reading ‘No Limits’ a book by Michael Phelps last night. I’m not all that far into it but one thing is abundantly clear.
He never would have gotten to where he is without his coach.
Sure there is a lot else that went into his winning eight gold medals at the past Olympics, but he makes it clear that his coach was there with him every step of the way for support, to challenge him, and much else.
Phelps was in the spotlight but I can guarantee you every athlete who sat on the podium a few months back also had a coach who was instrumental in them getting to that place.
I think that tells you something. If you want to reach the highest levels you sure as hell aren’t going to do it alone.
This can be a hard lesson for many to learn especially if you have a lone-wolf attitude.
But it is a lesson you have to learn. Mentors, coaches and your peers have so much to teach that you couldn’t possibly learn it all by yourself in just a single lifetime.
And the great thing is you don’t have to. Nowadays there is so much help at your fingertips. But are you going take it and put it into action?
For all these reasons and more I’m starting a mastermind group to help you build strength, health and fitness.
Make sure you look hard at this offer because its only available through then end of the month, less than a week away.
This could be the your ticket to glory, because with proper coaching there’s no telling how far you can go.

I’ve been training for many years now. Gone through tons of different programs using a multitude of tools. From dinosaur training to kettlebells, combat conditioning to barbells, gymnastics to feats of strength and many more.
I’ve gotten stronger along the way and I like to think I’ve also learned a thing or two about what really works.
During the time I’ve had my ups and downs. I’m talking about super productive plans where the gains came at incredible speeds. I’ve also gone through periods where nothing seemed to work.
I’ve come a looooong way from doing the workouts from the bodybuilding mags. Laughing just thinking about that.
Getting stronger, leaner, and hitting new PR’s is not complicated, yet so many people seem to have problems with it.
I want 2009 to be your best training year ever as well as mine. That’s why next Wednesday on January 21st I’m holding a free teleseminar on ‘Achieving Your Training Goals’.
My aim is to pass my knowledge onto you. To distill my experience of what works and what doesn’t, so that you can move forward.
Progress comes fast when you do things right. There are certain keys to progress and when you use them you can help but to move forward.
And this isn’t the same material re-hashed. I’ve learned from the best in many fields. And I’ve learned from my own experience. You’ll get it all.
So jump on the call. You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain since it costs you nothing.
Head on over to the sign-up page to register for the call right now.

Don’t know if you’ve heard the news but the man behind the strength training classic, Dinosaur Training, is about to release a new book. That’s right Brooks Kubik is now taking pre-orders for Legacy of Iron, which in my opinion is an awesome title.
I ordered myself a copy last night and can’t wait til I get my hands on it, especially since its so different. You’re gonna have to go there to see how.
Head on over to his site at www.brookskubik.com and do yourself a favor by grabbing a copy. And if you don’t have the original Dinosaur Training in your library be sure to get that too.
Having met Brooks and seen his work I know that this one will be a masterwork. What are you waiting for…

Ask and you shall receive. Eric Spence sent in this excellent question.
“Logan ,with such an emphasis upon bodyweight and kettlebell lifting. I am an ex-college football player. I remember seeing some big ,powerful, fast, flexible athletes. This was at a time in which kettlebell/bodyweight training was not the norm. These guys training a lot of the powerlifts ,bench, squat, and deadlifts. Was it my imagination when I saw them running 4.4 40 yard dashes at 240 and squating 550 plus pounds and bencing 420 Ibs. Honestly Logan if you read a lot of what is said today you would think that these guys are not “functionally strong”. Are we sure that is right ? It seems to me that strength training is starting to make the common mistake of throwing the baby out with the bath water. I myself only lowered my 40 from 5.3 to 4.9 when I took the squat seriously. I love kettlebells ,keg lifting ,sandbags ,etc. I have used them exclusively in some training cycles. But man Logan I also felt strong in college when I squatted 465 Ibs. For 10 reps. Benched 420. And then was able to run 15 100 meter sprints for conditioning. Sorry for the long email. Your thoughts please?”
I’ll have an answer but before that I’d like to hear your thoughts. Just post your comments below and let me know what you are thinking on this topic.
Your answers really can shape the whole of your training.

As you know I was down in LA attending a seminar this weekend. What I did not tell you was that I got stuck there until Wednesday night. And not by choice. I was planning on leaving Monday.
Yep, my car broke down.
Pretty bad place and time. I was on the way to the second day of the event, when the thing just turned off and would not turn back on. Luckily, I was cruising at speed so I was able to pull into a parking lot.
A call to AAA and I was towed to a repair place. Two days later it is ready to go. I hop in and start driving back to my brothers place to pick up my stuff so I can head out of town finally.
At a stoplight and the same thing happens. Uh oh! There was lots of traffic around. I flipped on the hazard lights and try to get the car started.
It turned on…only to die again immediately.
A few more tries, and I decide I need to get out of the road. Problem is the car is three lanes away from a parking lot and it’s rush hour.
Mind you I am in LA so no one is running over to help me out.
I start pushing it backwards so I can get a good angle on the parking lot of a restaurant. After at least five minutes of waiting, standing outside of my car, someone waves at me saying I can go.
So I am steering the car with one hand and pushing it with the other. This isn’t the smallest car in the world either. But for me it was actually easy.
Why should you train for the best in strength and endurance? Well one reason is that you may need it. In fact your life might just depend on it.
I was not in a very dangerous position here, but you never know when you might be. No one got hurt here (except my wallet paying the repair guys).
But everything is okay because I made it back home late last night.
So the next time you train, maybe give a thought to the fact that the last rep you do could be the one that saves your life or the life of someone else. You never know.
Grow Powerfully,
Logan Christopher
P.S. I couldn’t help but think I needed some chains so I could hook the car to my hair and pull it that way. But that is a story for another time.
