Finger Supports

1

Finger supports is similar albeit different than finger lifting. Instead of lifting a weight with you finger hooked you support a weight with your finger(s) straight.

The most seen form of this is with fingertip pushups. While many people are capable of using all their fingers, as you begin to take them away it becomes much more difficult to do.

Bruce Lee was famous for doing pushups just on the index fingers of his two hands. Many martial artists work on these movements to improve certain styles of fighting. Here a Shaolin monk performs a two finger handstand on the index fingers of each hand.

And the video below shows a man cranking out one arm one thumb pushups.

Like all finger exercises these are moves that you must work into slowly lest you damage your fingers.
